Zit galore! What should I do?
Zit, pimple, acne… they are just different names for the same thing. That big, red, nasty looking round thing on the tip of your nose if you’re really unlucky (and no, my name is NOT Rudolph!)! I used to think that zits affect teenagers and that once we’ve become “adults” we should be saying sayonara and good riddance to them. But I’ve realised my folly all too soon.

Yes, many pimples cometh onto my face. Why? Just as kraemondo asked, if we’re eating healthily, don’t use make up, wash our faces regularly, why do we still get acne?
More importantly, how do we get rid of these unsightly spots!? Well, ya, we can go visit a doctor and pay through our noses. Or we can buy some pimple gel or creams which never really seem to work for me. Have you heard of an old wives’ tale to dab a bit of toothpaste onto your pimple? I’ve definitely tried that too. Haha! But if you’ve read today’s Mind Your Body article on “The truth about home remedies”, the reporter tells us to avoid doing that as the toothpaste may worsen the acne and even burn or cause irritation! How freaky is that? And no, I will not take a photo of my acne scars to show you the after-effects. Ha!

Tell me, what do YOU do to combat pimples? And how do YOU get rid of the scars left by them (I admit I have itchy fingers and I sometimes, erm, poke at it)? Do you think they are caused by stress or the food we eat are too oily or “heaty”? Share your tips with us.

I used to have alot of pimples when I was in secondary school due to heat, sweat and dirt. But as I grew older, my pimples fades away and my complexion has improved. But I have also been diligently been going for my regular facial. In the beginning I visit the standard facial centers which does alot of extractions which leave me in pain and looking like a berry after every session. And my complexion got worst. Then I changed my facial center which uses the lymph node technic which flushes out toxins from the body. And my complexion is much much better. Therefore, detoxing helps inj attaining a better complexion even if you are a snack junkie and uses tonnes of makeup
Chocolates and snack like junk food has nothing to do with pimples…there are really people who are prone to pimples because of the body system itself…others are stress-related like school exam or work…
If you have bigger pimples don’t prick them by yourself coz it will leave scar on your face…better check with your dermatologist for proper treatment…the treatment depends largely on the type of skin one have…i know some good medicine for pimples but i won’t tell you.
so i think you visit and see your dermatologist for right medication…also your doctor will recommend the right soap for your face.
