Personally, I'm a fan of Mac.

If they sell iCar, I'll buy it.
If they sell iHeadphone, I'll buy it.
If they sell iFan, I'll buy it.
If they sell iClock, I'll buy it too.
If they sell iNike, I'll buy it,
If they sell iBaby Stroller, I'll buy it.

Thing is, Jobs sells regular stuffs and dress them up with "sexy"
That's the fuss.
I remember a few years back when there's a full page article on Straits Times' Life, about Creative vs Apple iPod. S$30 to get your satisfaction of music on the go (I used Walkman, still remember those), vs getting S$100 over for iPod that does the same stuff.

Well the article tip the balance towards creative. But see who's selling them more, and you see many people having iPod than Creative's product.

Principle of business, create something the current consumer wants and more. Create something that makes them feel good.

Almost bought them from HK or Mustafa Center early this year, cracked of course. And certainly would not queue for one of those. Cos I've already set to buy them but not as phone, something to have and to hold, to keep my phones, a electronic PA, and of course to impress others.

And I will still use a Nokia to call, and receive phones, sms, alarm clock and birthday reminder of loved ones and taking snapshots.
A pocket size Canon digital camera, daily usage.
A full size camera for hard core usage.
An iPod to replace my CDs in the car.
A mini laptop for traveling, a Desktop for regular work.

I still think, do one thing do it well.
A fan shouldn't have radio function.
A flat screen plasma shouldn't be use as a coffee table.
The car seat shouldn't have Osim massage chair design onto it.
The Fax machine shouldn't be having more than 2 function, or it would jeopardize your working rhythm.
The higher the expectation, the harder you hurt when it fails.

Printer, fax, scan, sorting, enlargement all-in-one, big no no K.I.S.S.

Conclusion - iPhone would be part of our life and would be remembered. Just like people who owned VW Beatles in the 60s&70s, Walkman in the 80s, the motorola "Big Brother Big" mobile phone, motorola pager, baggy pants in the 80s, a classic Levi's 501 jeans, Transformer, MASK, Centurion toys.
