The Internet is for…
… “PORN!”, that is, if you are Trekkie Monster, the puppet from the musical Avenue Q la. LOL!
We started early this month by featuring another cast, Felix Rivera, and his puppet, Princeton, which is the main “character” in the musical Avenue Q. The 2nd question was asked by Lucy the Slut, the cabaret singer puppet on Avenue Q. And, we’ve come to the last question which is asked by Trekkie Monster. You know, up to now I still don’t know if this puppet has a proper job on Avenue Q. I mean I’ve tried asking him some questions, so you can see for yourself below:
Me: So Trekkie, you stay in an apartment on Avenue Q in New York City. New York is so vibrant and full of sounds and sights, what do you do on your free time? Any special places to recommend?
Trekkie: I love New York – so much to see and do, but I honestly stay in most days to surf the net. But when I go for a walk, I love to talk to the very friendly girls on Times Square – although these days most of them stay in-doors too. Perhaps they have a fast internet connection to surf porn too?
Me: With the financial crisis upon us and stock markets being so unstable, how do you think we should invest our money?
Trekkie: Spend it on porn – always a safe investment!
Me: Do you believe in Free Speech? Do you think that the internet should be monitored or censored? Why or why not?
Trekkie: I love the internet – so much porn to look at. I’m not really looking at site where there is too much talk though, but I think everyone should be able to say what they want… like me “PORN PORN PORN”!!

Internet is a Drug! It makes me feel high when i find the information i want for my work, read the jokes that are sent, communicate with my friends via emails, icq, irc, msn, yahoo msger and what nots.
But step by step it hooks me, makes me rely on it and log in frequently. When network is down, it is frustrating. When not being able to access it for prolonged period, withdrawal signs appear by feeling restless, lack of communication with friends (via emails) etc.
Internet is the best thing invented by far! Without the net, I would not be able to get so much done within a shorter time from a business perspective.
In the past, u would have to rely on snail mail, no way to verify information and no cheap or free advertising, however, since the internet was invented, I could accomplish so much more within a day.
Internet is perfect invention I guess. It has all the good and bad site. I think your question will be forever question. Because it is too subjective. But because of the subjectivity of the internet what makes internet perfect. Every one is free to say what they want to say in the internet. Or do what ever they want to do also in the internet. Good things or bad even evil things. Some will fight the evil things in the internet and some will try to destroy the good things for their own profit and benefit. Some only like to watch. Some other will try to do their best to make the internet better place to do activity or to support activity of your real world. So the internet is like what they say.. the second world. Cyber world.
Oh yeah forgot about your question. For me it is so helpful. Because I use the internet to support my communication to colleagues and business relations. It surely save time and cost. I can search the things that i wan’t quickly on the Internet. Thanks to all search engines. Also can do for pleasure too. That trekkie said about Porn. I do it too .. Even though you say porn is unmoral but it is most effective way to have a pleasure. Then yes it will be means that i agree with porns. And yes that it will make most the women in the world would have an easy shortcut to have money by being whores or female students to enterpreneur-ing their body in the internet and have some quick money.Or your doughter or your mother or your sister to find a pleasure in the same way. Which will cause jealousy, broken home, and further criminality. And will cause more and more porn provider to come up in the internet because it is so easy money and safe investment. Welcome to dark side of the internet. But look at the bright side too, cosmetic and health industry will goes up too. Also food. Followed by the industry that support it even engineering. And the police and goverment will have plenty work to do. So it will form a circle. But yeahh..we can not say that this is starting by looking at porn or making porns. But you should thanks to them anyway. But also yeah..the world is still circling without porn in the internet.
The internet is overall positive for me and I think for most people. Like all technologies ( even starting with the first one -fire), it is a double edged sword.
But from what I’ve seen and found on the internet, I find it extremely useful. I was amazed at my first email and the thought that I could communicate with someone a world away in an instant was like, unbelievable!
If human success is built on communication, then the internet can only be the next step in the positive evolution of mankind, not to mention the vast amounts of information on it and even school learning.

Internet..it’s a necessity of city life..You can’t live without it, neither can I!
I use it as my dictionary and database. When I need information, I just type a few words on the search and voila..tons of information to go through..
I use it to maintain relationships with friends with the multiple platforms of friendship websites available and I found my long-lost childhood friends through it. No way this can be done through any other means (except if u break into some govt database hahaha..).
I use it to save $$ n spend $$. Saving $ and time instead of snail mails, then there’s online shopping and courses! Use it to find where I can get best offers and cheap stuff.
I use it to find out travel information and make up my own travel itineries as I like to travel free and easy. Find out where are the must-see places, the must-eat food, the must-do stuff, the things to watch out for, the cheap food, tickets and accomodation…
I use it for entertainment. Listening to the latest hits, getting reviews for the latest plays or movies and movie schedules, finding out when the karaoke is having offers.
and this is how I know about Avenue Q…THRU THE INTERNET!!
