What would YOU ask David Beckham? :-)

David Beckham needs no introduction.  He is one of the most iconic athletes and decorated football players of all-time. He is the second most capped England player in history, scoring in three FIFA World Cups.  However, David’s name now stretches beyond just football –in recent years, his name has also become synonymous with style, fashion, and recently, through his work as UNICEF Goodwill Ambassador, he has become known as a key advocate of charity work.

Here at Yahoo! we are honoured to have David as our Global Ambassador working with Yahoo! Sport to interact with as many fans as possible and sharing his thoughts on subjects ranging from his favourite World Cup player to his preparation for the big day – with much more inbetween!  If you haven’t checked this out already, take a look at David’s coverage on Yahoo!.

  12. It’s never easy being a soccer superstar with a super famous wife. I would like to know, throughout your entire life, how did you encourage yourself and push yourself forward, if there is no one there for you.

The reason I asked that question is everyone who knows and even those who don’t know much about soccer knows David Beckham. Your answer might be an inspiration to others who are struggling in life and looking forward to a better future. You might bring such an inspiration to them.

  24. Recently a lot of news reported that your childhood dream or your favorite hobby was Lego toy building. But what was missing in the report is that what make you choose the soccer as career over that very ambition you ever had.

What made you choose the soccer instead of being a Lego toy builder? Parent’s influence? Monetary incentive? Or girl friend’s advice? Or the fame which derailed you to different career path?

If your life were to start all over again, will you still choose the soccer or you wll pursue your favorite hobby, Lego toy building?

  25. Do you think that the jabulani ball should be used in EPL or even in all soccer league? As excellent play makers in the world have said that the ball was “delicious” , and “the ball will go wherever the player wanted it to”, surely it will prove great entertainment to see even better or more curvy freekicks and set pieces, which will torment the goalkeepers and make them even better. It can even make world’s football even better to watch with the different & beautiful turns of the ball in the midair.

  48. Lately, you have been all over the news about how badly England did in the world cup. I don’t want to ask any question, I want you to ask yourself a question. You did not win World Cup and yet you get the BALLS to insult the current players. How are you so different from the rest of the England player? I like you when you were in the clubs, showing brilliant free kicks but now disgusted by the lack of discipline to control your tongue.

  49. Dear Beckham

There is no doubt that you are a high profile player in the footballing world. Apart from being just famous on the pitch you are also a celebrity off the pitch. I think its wonderful, the way you have been able to manage both of these. You are never cocky on the pitch nor do you let your fame affect your behaviour on the pitch. How are you able to achieve this?

  66. David, you have a successful football career and living a life of every young boys dreams. You start your successful football career at Old Trafford (The Theatre of Dreams) at a very young age. You were guided by the best Manager in football history. So the question is now would you consider ending your successful career by returning back to Old Trafford for your last season of playing football if you were given the chance? The reason im asking this question is because your an idol to the young footballers,Ambassador of England Football, and a guide line for the young kids who believe in dreams that may come true for them one day. It will be a complete football career which you started your dream at The Theatre Of Dreams and end it at The Theatre of Dreams itself.

  73. If you can only choose one between Victoria and Soccer, which would you choose ?

The reason why I asked this issimply because I hope Beckham will choose family. As, soccer might be able to bring him joy and fame, but family has given him something more than that. I believed that he will definitely choose Victoria as Victoria has given him love and of course the three wonderful and cute boys. I love Beckham’s awesome soccer skills and everything, so I hope my Idol is someone who will put his family at the first place. :D
